Pumping around, surfing waves

You can ask any professional: The best training ground for all bikers is and remains the pump track. By "pumping" through the loop course you will get the right feeling for your bike, the turns and waves. Everything comes together here: biking experience for everyday life, training for the trails - and above all, a lot of fun. That is why we have three pump tracks within the valley. In Oetz directly on the Ötztal Cycle Trail and Rollin' and Sunny in Sölden.

Pumptrack, quickly explained

A pump track is a circular course where the cyclist pushes the bike over waves and bends by 'pumping' and thereby enjoys a playful riding experience. The challenge is not to actively use the pedals, but to build up speed on the bike only by pushing up your body from a lower position. When riding a pump track, you stand centrally on the pedals and only sit briefly in the saddle when you start.

Pumptrack Rollin‘

There are two pump tracks available in Sölden. Rollin' is the name of the largest and busiest pump track. It is located directly at the base station of Gaislachkogl mountain gondola and marks the end of TEÄRE LINE in the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. Over the seasons, Rollin' has become the ultimate meeting place for the youngest and the grown-ups who do their rounds together by cheering, pumping, surfing, rolling - and indulging in a frozen yoghurt and a drink. In the adjoining bike wash station, the bikes receive their well-deserved wellness program afterwards.

Pumptrack Sunny

The quieter Pumptrack Sunny on the east side of Ötztaler Ache (at Hotel Sunny) in Sölden is ideal for children. It's not without reason that our kids' training sessions organized by the bike schools and cycling club take place here on a regular basis. Small trail loops featuring different obstacles require all technical biking skills: everything can be tried out - from balance exercises to curve and brake technique, overcoming obstacles and small jumps. The short circular courses promise repeated learning units on the same elements and guarantee noticeably quick learning success.

Pumptrack Oetz

The pump track in Oetz can be found right on the valley-wide Ötztal Cycle Trail. From there it is only a few pedal strokes to the Sattelfest Practice Trail, which is part of the new E-bike Park and as well right next to the cycle trail. The pump track in Oetz features a gravel surface and is therefore a perfect introduction before you go biking in open terrain.
