The stormy southerly foehn current will end with a strong cold front at Friday night. Stronger precipitation is temporarily expected, and the snow line will sink to the low areas in the valleys until Saturday morning. At the same time, polar cold air will approach behind the front and prevail until next midweek. With a very lively northwesterly wind in the mountains mostly compact clouds will reach us and repeatedly provide for scattered snow showers, although they will occasionally also disperse and make way for the sun. The inflow of significantly milder Atlantic air is indicated from next midweek on, whereby the conditions will become rather wet.
