The Kaiser is a pleasure ride that runs on soft forest ground on the quiet side of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. You have to pedal up about 120 meters to the entry via the Kaiserwald Route or the Enduro Aschbach D route. There are short root sections and exposed passages – and once its wet it takes some time to dry.

WATCH OUT FOR HIKERS!

Author’s recommendation

Scenic Kaiser Trail makes a perfect combination with the Kaiserwald Route (603), ideal for a short bike tour after work. This part of Sölden is much less frequented as there are no mountain lifts.

Safety information

The Kaiser Trail is a flowy ride, but holds a few rooty sections.

The BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN is all about coming together and having the best time on your mountain bike – no matter what your skill level is. So always take care of each other, show respect and support – also towards nature and all other people out there in the mountains and the valley.

> Please only ride existing, signposted trails and never trespass open meadows.

-> Avoid skidding, don’t cut switchbacks & leave no trace.

-> Stay alert, never scare animals and always close the pasture gates. In the REPUBLIC there’s always a chance of cattle on the trails and lines. Ride carefully and give them enough room.

Turn-by-turn directions

The Kaiser Trail can be reached on the blue Kaiserwald Mountain Bike Route (603). After a short stretch on the forest trail you reach the Single Trail right amidst the forest. This route ends on the Ötztal Trail (11) which takes you southwards back to Sölden or northwards towards Längenfeld.

A truly pleasant route on nice forest soil, ideal for a short outing after work. Steeply ascending sections take you the start of the trail. What's best, there are no mountain lifts on this side of the valley and you can enjoy a truly charming and secluded Single Trail far away from the much busier slopes of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. In some parts the route features tree roots and short but very steep descents.

In case of wet and rainy weather it takes quite long to dry again. After about 500 m the this route joins the Ötztal Trail shortly before you get to the hamlet of Aschbach. Then you can either return to the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN or head towards the lower valley.
