With its alpine ambience and its altitude of 1,600 m, the Gries high-altitude trail is a true cross-country attraction, especially for advanced runners. It leads once around the snow-sure village and allows beautiful views of the Sulztal. The entrance to the classic track is located at the parking lot at the end of Gries. At the beginning you drive further into the Sulztal. Most of the time the round runs along the Fischbach. The highest point of the trail is reached at the Vogelasbrücke. After crossing the river, the track on the left side of the stream is always slightly downhill. Only after crossing again you have to master the last meters in altitude around the place before you return to the starting point.
