Climbing Rules:1. GET FAMILIAR WITH THE EQUIPMENT
Use only standardized mountain sports equipment (CE-sign) & study instructions for use.
2. PARTNER CHECK BEFORE STARTING
Double-check your knots, harness buckle, belay system and the end of the rope.
3. LET THE PARTNER KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON
Communication prevents misunderstandings, let your belayer know when he has to take your weight on the rope.
4. ACT RESPECTFULLY
Respect other climbers & inform them of mistakes and dangers. Stick to climbing bans.
5. PROTECT YOUR HEAD
A helmet prevents head injuries in case of falling rocks & if you fall.
6. NO ROPE ON ROPE CONTACT
Always use metal karabiners for rappelling. Never use two ropes in one karabiner / toprope link plate.
7. WARM UP BEFORE STARTING TO CLIMB
Warm-up climbing protects your joints, tendons and muscles.
8. FULL ATTENTION WHILE BELAYING
The life of your partner is in your hands.
9. NO NEW CLIMBING HOOKS
It is strictly forbidden to fix new climbing hooks.

Destination
Turn-by-turn directions
Follow the signs "Wiesle" for about 20 minutes. The first blocks are right on the hiking trail. 3 minutes after the first blocks turn sharp left and follow the forest path. There you will find the other blocks to your left and your right.
Public transport
Enjoy a both comfortable and relaxing train ride to the train station in Ötztal Bahnhof. You get off the train in ÖTZTAL Bahnhof where you change to a public bus or local taxi. The current bus schedule can be found at: http://fahrplan.vvt.at
Getting there
Niederthai is located in the western part of Austria in the state TYROL, in a southern side valley of the Inn valley - the ÖTZTAL. For your arrival by car, you can plan the best route from your home town with the route planner online at https://www.google.at/maps
Coming from Oetz in the direction of Umhausen / Sölden; after approx. 1.5 km from the village of Tumpen you cross the bridge and turn left at the bus stop.
