Take the “Hüttentaxi” (transportation organized by the mountain refuge) to Fundusalm and walk to Frischmannhütte. Once there, follow the narrow and steep path towards Feilerscharte Saddle (2926 m). From Feilerscharte it’s another 30 minutes to the peak. You can either backtrack or hike down through Leierstal.

 

Tip: hike from Frischmannhütte via Fundusfeiler and along Forchheimer High Elevation Trail to Erlanger Hütte. You can organize a “Hüttentaxi” to Hintere Fundusalm.

Equipment

Public transport

Enjoy a both comfortable and relaxing train ride to the train station in Ötztal Bahnhof. You get off the train in ÖTZTAL Bahnhof where you change to a public bus or local taxi. The current bus schedule can be found at: http://fahrplan.vvt.at
