From the village center of Oetz southwards along the Ötztaler Ache river on aslightly rising trail until you get to Andreas-Hofer-Weg fork-off.Here you can choose from three alternatives:

a) Turn left and walk across the silent forest until you reach the hamlet ofHabichen where you cross the road and return to Oetz on the asphalt trail.

b) Continue straight ahead to Weller Bridge for a couple of minutes. Here youturn left and walk through the forest to the hamlet of Habichen. Cross thefederal road and return to Oetz on the asphalt trail.

c) Walk straight ahead to Weller Bridge and cross the Ötztaler Ache river.Continue further on to lake Piburger See across the forest. Back to Oetzalong the federal road or Elsinger Trail.

Public transport

The following parking facilities are available in Oetz / Piburg:
  • Parking Acherkogelbahn - free for guests of the gondola lift, camping prohibited
  • Parking lot Raftingeinsteinstelle (at the end of Oetz on the right side) - free, but limited parking (alternatively Acherkogelbahn 150 m), camping prohibited
  • Oetz parking area (subject to a charge)
  • Parking Piburg at the Hotel Seerose, subject to charges.
