First you take a ride on Hohe Mut mountain gondola up to Hohe Mut Alm. Already at the arrival at Hohe Mut the breathtaking landscape of both glacier valleys, the Gaisbergtal and Rotmoostal, and the summit panorama of Granatenkogel, Hochfirst, Liebener Spitze, Scheiberkogel, Seelenkogel and Hangerer will enchant you. With this magnificent view always in mind, you walk to the turnoff at the end of Hohe Mut saddle and back to Hohe Mut Alm restaurant.

Turn-by-turn directions

First you take a ride on Hohe Mut mountain gondola up to Hohe Mut Alm. With this magnificent view always in mind, you walk to the turnoff at the end of Hohe Mut saddle and back to Hohe Mut Alm restaurant. 

Public transport

Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. Directions

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads. The following parking facilities are available in Gurgl:
  • Parking garage (center of Obergurgl), chargeable
  • Parking garage - bottom station Festkogl, chargeable - no parking at night
  • Parking Hochgurglbahn valley station, free of charge - no parking at night
  • Parking Top Mountain Crosspoint, free of charge
  • Parking Hochgurgl, free of charge (very small parking)
