From Vent to the Ochsenkopf, halfway up to the left to the Niedertal. On a broad path past the newly built chapel and the Schäferhütte on a moderately increasing path to the Martin Buschhütte. From there, a steep ascent towards the Kreuzspitze. The lake is on a high plateau about 300 m to the left of the trail. Beautiful panorama.
