Ötztal Nature Park

Protect alpine habitats

The Ötztal Nature Park comprises all protected areas of Ötztal, stretching from the bottom of the valley to the high Alpine terrain formed by glacier ice. The mountain village of Gurgl makes a perfect base for Nature Park exploration. The info point at Hohe Mut Alm gives a deep insight into life in and around the glacier region. Several other valley-wide Nature Park information points and the new Nature Park House in Längenfeld are also easily accessible from Gurgl. Ambitious nature fans can also participate in countless interesting events - such as guided walking tours, lectures (in German) and workshops focusing on the natural history of Ötztal.
