Assistance for persons who have run into difficulties in the mountains.You find yourself in an emergency situation in the mountains and have your cell phone with you? As long as you have network coverage you can dial the emergency number of mountain rescue (140) and follow the instructions of the operations center. If you are not within Austria, when you are using a foreign cell phone or your network provider is not available, try calling the standard European emergency number 112.
